week 3 - 3

Update:

as I wrote about in my previous posts, the setting for our opening will most likely consist in a different members home. Our group member Tristan has just what we need for the aesthetic we're looking for.

The comical aspect about all this, is that we were arguing about where we were going to initially film. one of the initial problems we were talking about was the fact that Tristan felt that the fact that he had a couch and other clutter in his garage, would be a problem. If you ask me, a messy garage with some old furniture fits the environment of an up and coming youth rock band. The characters a re young and especially at the start of the film it's not like they're swimming in cash. This served as a blessing in disguise and we're all happy with the final decisions.

week 6(final)

With the actual film opening wrapped up, all that is left is the CCR. At this point it  is not complete, but it  will be soon enough. The last thing we have to do as a group is take clips from what we filmed and incorporate it in either a voice over or a power point. personally a power point would be easier, but that would require like actually presenting and its a lot more tedious. A voice over could be cool, I've always liked these features that many directors such as Spielberg and George Lucas have included in their films. It's really just there if you want it and more than enough it's the film lovers who really do. My guess is that we'll most likely just end up doing that, since we'd want that authentic film feel.

week 5(3)

To finish this weeks entries, we spent some time finalizing our work. we cleared up some issues we had regarding the recordings, so we made sure to clear those up. We had to film again part of the first scene due to the microphone being turned off (Homero's fault) but in the end it  was a slight blessing because we came out with something better. Now our next step is to come up with a creative way to introduce the credits, we want to do something sort of product placement style, by sneaking our names in the background in a clear way for it  to be recognizable. (Harder than it sounds!)

week 6

On our 6th and final week we faced some ups and downs. Ups being that we're finally wrapping up our project and we won't have to worry about this anymore. also that our end result is coming along quite nicely and we feel confident in our film opening. The downside is all the stress that came to actually completing this project due to complications. These complications include scheduling problems because more than often one or more of us could not seem to find the time to meet and work. but we finally got that sorted out. We were able to creatively piece together our opening and end credits and we felt like we did a great job. Once its presented everyone will know what I mean.
